Susan E. Rogerson, 67, of Camelot Lane, died at 7:50 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2011, at Four Seasons Health Care Center.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday at Myers-Reed Chapel on 25th Street with the Rev. Dan Cash officiating. Calling will be from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of South Central Indiana, the American Cancer Society or Four Seasons Employee Christmas Fund.

Susan graduated from Columbus High School in 1961 and attended Indiana University. She attended First Baptist Church of Columbus; volunteered as a tour guide for the Columbus Visitors Center; was a member of the Red Hat Society, “Purple Bells” Chapter; and enjoyed playing bridge with the Bridge-A-Rama Club and many others.
She had served as a legal secretary earlier in her life for several attorneys in Columbus and worked at the Bob-O-Link Liquor store, becoming the owner/operator after her husband died. She was an avid reader, enjoyed gardening, playing Scrabble, English history and heritage, and enjoyed all sports especially football, IU basketball and Colts football.
Susan enjoyed working with her hands and was naturally skillful and talented at all she created. She enjoyed macramé, sewing, woodworking and crocheting. She loved architecture and was especially proud of the buildings in Columbus. She especially appreciated Frank Lloyd Wright and traveled the country to tour his work. She was well traveled throughout the U.S. and frequented England. She had a penchant for reading mysteries and read the complete Agatha Christie works( novels) twice
Born in Norman, Okla., Aug. 25, 1943, Mrs. Rogerson was the daughter of Rex E. and Nell Shumaker Cole. She married William R. Rogerson June 24, 1972, in Columbus.
She is survived by her mother, Nell Cole, Columbus; her daughter, Lisa (Ray McDaniel) Mullins, Pompano Beach, FL; her companion, Russell Waltz; a sister, Nancy L.(Charles “Mike”) Hill, Columbus; a brother, Mark Alan Cole, Indianapolis; a stepdaughter, Pamela Rogerson- Ashley, Lake Havasu City, AZ; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Rex E. Cole; her husband, William R. Rogerson, on Feb. 10, 1990; a step daughter, Susan Rogerson Molish; and a step son, Greg Rogerson.
