Patricia A. Huber, 84, of Columbus, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, December 22, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 7, 1940, in Muscatine, IA, to Fred and Elizabeth (Curry) Carpenter.
Patricia was employed by Wal-Mart for 17 years as a Department Manager. While there, she won several awards and enjoyed all of the lunches with her co-workers. She was a hard worker and always kept busy. She also enjoyed doing latch hook projects. Above all, she was a fighter and a strong, courageous woman.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Nancy Swab.
Survivors include her loving husband of 65 years, Wayne K. Huber; daughters, Robin Olson of Coon Rapids, MN, Wendy Kokes of Greenwood, Susy (David) Boyd of Morgantown, and Vikki Huber of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Amy, Rachel, Tatiana, Bradley, Allison, Lindsay, and Jacob; and great-grandson, Oliver. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Visitation with the family will be from 12 – 1:30 p.m. on Friday, December 27, 2024 at Myers-Reed Chapel. She will be laid to rest at Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the team at the CRH Cancer Center for their wonderful care over the last ten years.
Memorials in Patricia’s name are suggested to the Bartholomew County Humane Society.
