Susan D Cole

Susan D COLE, age 66, a lifelong resident of Columbus, Georgia passed away on Wednesday January 17, 2018. Susan was born April 7, 1951 to her mother Ruth Carroll Cole and her late father George Welbourne Cole Jr.. She graduated from Jordan Vocational High School, had a degree in Criminal Justice from Columbus College, and retired from The Georgia State Department of Correction. Susan had a loving heart and helped to rescue and care for cats. Her beautiful smile and sense of humor will be remembered by all who knew her.

Along with her mother, Ms. Cole is survived by: her sister Peggy (Terry) Dutton; two nephews, Christopher S. Thomas, and J. T. Dutton; two nieces, Tiffany N Thomas, and Jamie Dutton-Roy; five great nieces and nephews, other family members and many friends.

A visitation for Susan will be held Tuesday, January 23, 2018 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM in Edgewood Hall at Sriffler-Hamby, 47071 Macon Rd, Columbus, GA 31907. A Celebration of Susan's Life will begin at 2:00 PM, followed a Committal Service at Parkhill Cemetery with Reverend Ralph Henderson officiating.
