Shirley Burnham, 65, of Columbus, Georgia, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, May 21, 2018. The Burnham family would like to welcome friends and loved ones for visitation on Wednesday, May 23rd, from 6 to 8 PM at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary with Graveside services taking place at Parkhill Cemetery Thursday, May 24, 2018, at 11 AM.
Shirley Ann Burnham was born October 30, 1952, to the late Melba Roxie Franklin and William H. Storey, Sr. in Columbus, Georgia. Mrs. Burnham was loved by many and never met a stranger anywhere she went. After retiring from Flowers Baking Company following 15 years of hard work, she grew a passion for birds, flowers, and photography. She loved all of the beautiful things this world had to offer her, because she was one of them.
Along with her parents, Shirley is preceded in death by a brother, William H. Storey, Jr.
She is survived by: her loving and devoted husband of 40 years, Jerry “Joe” Burnham; two sons, William R. Hammock, Randall W. (Kim) Hammock; one daughter, Amy Burnham (Joseph) Mixon; and six grandchildren: John, Jacob, Zachary, Mathew, Charlie, and Misty who will forever cherish her loving memory.
