Renate L. Cole

She was born in Berlin, Germany on April 15, 1939, to the late Gerda Herfert Guhl and Albert Guhl. She moved to the United States at a young age with her family. She married Irie E Cole June 10, 1969, he was the love of her life. She worked in manufacturing many years as an assembler. She loved caring for her yard, her 4 cats, and baking for her children. She enjoyed vacationing to the beach, most often visiting Panama City Beach, Florida. She also enjoyed her time spent at Wind Creek Casino in Montgomery, Alabama.

Renate is preceded in death by her mother, Gerda Herfert Guhl; her father, Albert Guhl; and her husband, Irie Cole. She is survived by her children, Debra Bryson (Timothy), Jim Revis (Jan), and Sheila Mills. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren and very dear friend Barbara Milam.

A Graveside Service will occur at 11:00 AM on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at Parkhill Cemetery, 4061 Macon Rd, Columbus, Georgia 31907. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 AM.
