Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday in the Mill Room of Striffler – Hamby, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus with Rev. Rob Craft officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home.
Reba was born July 31, 1930 in Columbus, Georgia to the late Junious and Rebecca James. She had lived in Columbus most of her life, except the years her husband was in the U.S. Army. They retired back to Columbus in 1964, where Reba continued work in the medical field. She retired from Martin Army Hospital, Ft. Benning, Georgia, and began work at St. Francis Hospital in the ICU waiting room helping patient’s families. She was a Methodist by faith and a longtime member of Rose Hill United Methodist Church.
Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Edgar T. Craft; her siblings, Bernard, Junious, and Jimmy James; her sons, James and Thomas Craft.
Survivors include sons, Donald and wife, Kay, Robert and wife, Debra, daughter, Cheryl Ward and daughter-in-law, Patricia; eight grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
Flowers will be accepted and those so desiring may contribute to the charity of their choice.
