Columbus, GA- Patricia C. Wright of Columbus, GA passed away July 24, 2014. Pat was born on February 12, 1939 in Columbus to the late Neal A. Wright and the late Mildred (Mimi) Hardman Wright. She graduated from Columbus High School in 1957. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Georgia in 1961. She married Bev H. Howard, Jr. and had two children, Lisa and Neal. She lived in Columbus for 12 years before moving to Westport, Connecticut; Denver, Colorado; and Birmingham, Alabama before returning to Columbus 7 years ago to care for her mother.
Pat was an artist and designed many Junior League Life magazine covers and was commissioned to paint watercolors of homes, dolls and beloved pets. She had boundless creativity, an eternally youthful way of approaching life, and loved teaching others (especially children) to see the world through an artist's eyes. She was kind, giving and adventurous. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her brother, Randolph Neal Wright, her loving children: daughter Lisa Howard Morris (Michael), son Neal Henry Howard (Becki) and two granddaughters that she adored, Claire and Cameron Morris. Visitation will be from 12-2PM on Monday, July 28th at Striffler Hamby 4071 Macon Road Columbus. Immediately following visitation the funeral will be in the Striffler Hamby Chapel, graveside burial will follow.
