Patricia Ann Morrison, 76, of Phenix City, Alabama, entered her heavenly home on November 12, 2023. Patricia was born on June 21, 1947 to Mildred and Dewitt Cook. A visitation to celebrate the life of Patricia will be held at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, Georgia 31907, on Thursday, November 16, 2023 at 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm. A funeral service will be held at New Beginnings Freewill Baptist Church, 5651 Hwy 240 North, Box Springs, Georgia 31801 on Friday, November 17, 2023 at 1:00 pm concluding with a committal service at the church cemetery. Family and friends are invited for food at the church following services.
Patricia worked at Swift Denim for 30 years. Afterwards, she was a homemaker who loved to cook and bake, often getting inspiration while watching the Food Network Channel. In her free time she enjoyed shopping, working in the yard, and spending time with her family. She was a woman of strong faith who was very active in her church. She was known for her love for the Lord and as being a faithful servant to him. Patricia was the sweetest and kindest soul. She was a strong woman who could go through any trail without letting it bring her down. She saw the good in everyone and was a caring and loving woman. Patricia will be missed by the many who knew and loved her.
Patricia is preceded in death by her Husband, Jerry Morrison; Parents, Mildred and Dewitt Cook; and Son, Leslie Morrison.
Patricia is survived by her Daughter, Patsy Gray (Michael); Sisters, Sherri Rogers and Barbara Bender; Brother, Jimmy Cook (Mitzi); Grandchildren, Jessica Foster (Bryan), Josh Morrison (Jessica), Jordan Morrison, Mitchell Morrison (Melanie), Abby Gray (John), Cody Gray (Skye), and Noah Gray (Jamie); 13 Great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, family and friends.
