Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at Edgewood Church of Christ with Brother Roger Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Green Acres Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening, July 25, 2011 from 5:00PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mr. Davis was born July 24, 1925 in Seale, AL, son of the late Tom and Rhoda Nathan Davis. He worked for many years as a supervisor with Southern Foods. He was also well known for his produce, especially “Sweet Watermelons”. His presence will be missed daily, but his memory will live forever in our hearts.
Survivors left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 38 years, Katie Louise Jones Davis; eight children, Nathan Davis, Jr., Angela Davis, Juanita Johnson Bailey, Melvin Davis, Larry Davis, Lonnie Davis, Willie Montanez Davis and Chris Evert Davis; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and a host of nieces nephews and friends.
