Murial Morris, 83, of Columbus, GA passed away on Tuesday March 14, 2023 at her home. Murial was born on May 3, 1939 to Ethel and Arthur Eddy in Hanover, NJ. She moved to GA with her husband, Tex Morris. She worked for Muscogee County School District for 35 years and retired in 2010.
She is survived by her loving children, Tex J.R. Morris (Cindy) of Baton Rouge, LA, Debra M. Snyder (Jimmy) of Fortson, GA, and Wanda J. Huckeba (Billy) of Phenix City, AL; Her grandchildren Krystle Albert (Nik), Kenneth Culverson (Christi), Kasey Culverson (Christie), Rebecca McCardle (Jamie), Scott Huckeba, Claire Vaughn (Josh), Joshua Morris (Ashley), and Noelle Morris (Rah-Rah); Her great-grandchildren, Kadance Albert, Justin McCardle, Hunter Culverson, Ashlee Culverson, Easton Vaughn, Maverick Morris, Ava Grace Vaughn, Henley Culverson, and Leanne White; As well as her nieces Christine Redmond, Karen Eddy and nephew Matthew Eddy.
Murial was preceded in death by her parents Ethel & Arthur Eddy, her husband Tex Morris, brother Dave Eddy and her great-grandson Ashton Albert.
Services will be held at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Rd, Columbus, GA 31907 on Friday, March 17th, 2023 at 2:00pm. Visitation will be 1 hour before the memorial. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude, Suicide Prevention, or Preferred Care Hospice three organizations Murial felt strongly about.
