Born on November 27, 1945, in the Canary Islands of Spain to Juan Davo-Rodriguez and Juana P. Davo, Miguel's journey through life was marked by resilience, family bonds, and an unwavering commitment to his loved ones.
Miguel is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Aurora (Dora) Medina Davo, a true partner who shared in the joys and challenges of life. Together, they built a family that became the center of their world.
Miguel's roots in the family extended to his surviving siblings, Rafael Davo (wife Jackie), Oscar, and Maria Teresa. He held dear memories of those who preceded him, siblings Conchita, Juanito, Armando, and Graciela.
He is also survived by his children Margarita Davo, Miguel Davo Jr (wife Theresa)., and Marco Davo (wife Jennifer), as well as stepchildren Stephen Rivera (wife Angela), Barry Rivera (wife Dawn), Denise Martinez (husband Pablo), and a host of grandchildren and step-grandchildren.
His legacy lives on through Lilany Agront Davo, Edwin Agront Davo (wife Jessica), Makayla Davo Honea (husband David), Christina Davo (husband Giovanni), Julian, Ezra, Genevieve, Barry Jr., Anthony, Jessica, Justin, Taylor, Gabriella Elena, and great-grandchildren Dylan Agront Nieves, Gracelyn, Lane, Elaina, Sutton, Sarah, and step-great-grandson, Eric. Nieces Melisa Davo, Cristina Davo, great-niece Ava, and great-nephew Nico were also a cherished part of Miguel's extended family.
For 45 years, Miguel called Columbus, Georgia, home, where he established Davo Auto Repair, a testament to his dedication as a Master Automobile Technician. His commitment to his craft was unwavering, working in his automotive shop until illness slowed him down.
In the last fifteen years, Miguel discovered a newfound passion for art, following in his father's footsteps, Juan Davo Rodriguez. He painted over one hundred pieces that will stand as a living legacy, a testament to his creative spirit and connection to his talents.
Miguel Davo Sr. leaves behind a void that cannot be filled, but his memory lives on in the hearts of all who knew him. May he find eternal peace, surrounded by the vibrant colors of his artistic legacy, and may his family and friends find comfort in the enduring memories of a life well-lived.
A celebration of life will be held in Columbus, Georgia by his family in the coming weeks.
