Michael was Retired Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force and a retired Mail Handler for the United States Postal Service. He was always a hard worker and was willing to help others. Formerly of Macon, Georgia and Circleville, Ohio, Michael never met a stranger. He was not interested in material possessions and didn’t overthink or spend a lot of time worrying about life’s speed bumps.
He was known as “Mister Mike” to his step-grandchildren, young people, and others that he had the pleasure and honor to know, spend time with, work with at the orchard and share his life with. Most of all, he was a good and loving husband. His greatest concern was making sure his loving wife, Betty, was okay. In his last hours he reminded Betty where to find everything that she would need to help her through this sad and difficult time. As stated by Betty, “He was at peace and ready to go. I am thankful God granted me the honor to be with Mike as he left life on this Earth with all the pain and suffering to be with God and all those he loved and who loved him for eternity. He was loved and will be missed.”
Michael is survived by his loving wife; Betty Braswell Landon-Temple, his children; David Temple and Regina Morning, his step-children; Edward Landon IV and Lindsay Nichole Griffin, along with their husbands and wives and all of the grandchildren and step-grandchildren, his brother; Grover Temple (Diane), his sister; Julianne Temple, as well as his nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Grover and Edna Temple, and step-son; C. Alex Landon.
