She was born on April 20, 1927 in Carrollton, Georgia to the late Carrie Ball Young and William Henry Young. Mary Alice married to William Kenneth Edmundson, Sr. and lived most of her life in Louisiana where they raised their two sons, William K. “Billy” Edmundson, Jr. and the late Steve H. Edmundson. She retired as sales clerk from a major retail store in Louisiana.
Mary Alice leaves her husband William Kenneth Edmundson, Sr.; her son William K. “Billy” Edmundson, Jr. and his wife Susan; her sister, Virginia Washington; her grandchildren, Chad Edmundson and his wife Heather, Adam Edmundson, and Colby Edmundson; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives to cherish her loving memory. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Graveside funeral service to celebrate her life will be held on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at 10:00 AM in Parkhill Cemetery at the Chapel of Pines Mausoleum.
