Mary Eidam Brooks, 92, of Columbus, GA passed away March 11, 2016 under the loving care of Trillium Village-Magnolia Manor. She was born March 13, 1923 in Athens, GA to her late parents Mattie and Ernest Eidam. Mrs. Brooks retired from the Bradley Memorial Library after 23 years of service. She taught Sunday School from Pre-School age to the Women’s Bible Class and delivered Meals on Wheels for a number of years.
The family will receive guests for a Memorial Service followed by a light lunch March 19, 2016 11:00 am at Magnolia Manor-Trillium Village 2040 Warm Springs Rd. Columbus, GA. A family Graveside service is planned for March 18, 2016 2:00pm at Riverdale Cemetery. Chaplain Mark Carter will officiate.
Along with her parents, Mrs. Brooks is preceded in death by her husband Jack R. Brooks; sister, Ernestine Brooks and nephew Hal Brooks. She is survived by her sister, Paula A. Eidam; son Ray (Jan) Brooks of Seattle, WA; daughters Jan B. (Jim) Redden of Pomaria, SC and Diane B. (Johnnie) Graham; grandchildren, Tim (Kate) Redden, Ben (Vikki) Redden, Melissa (Jack) Haggard, Rebecca (Erik) Moden, Jennifer (Trent) Crawford, Michael Graham, and Roberta (Shane) Bolinger, sister in-law Juanita B (Mike) Mathis, niece Laura B. (Pete) Ovdenk and special Cousin in-law Lucille Gray; eleven great grandchildren, other family members and many friends.
