Marion Lorine Eason Beck

Marion L. Beck September 14, 1926 - November 26, 2014 Columbus, Georgia- Marion L. Beck, age 88, of Columbus, died Wednesday, November 26, 2014, at her residence. Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M. Monday, December 1, 2014, in Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby with burial to follow in Main Post Cemetery. The Rev. David Howle will officiate. The family will receive friends in the St. Elmo room at Striffler-Hamby from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. Sunday, November 30, 2014. Mrs. Beck was born September 14, 1926 in Atlanta, GA the daughter of Claude Eason and Etta Drummond Eason. Mrs. Beck was married to the late Clyde Willard Beck. She was an avid golfer, enjoyed gardening and her Sunday lunch bunch, and was a member of the Hughston Clinic aquatic class for 17 years. Mrs. Beck was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church where she also enjoyed singing in the choir. Survivors include her three sons, Wayne W. Beck and his wife, Gloria, Mark S. Beck and his wife, Susan, and Ronald G. Beck and his wife, Terri, all of Columbus; a brother, Jerry Eason of Atlanta, GA; a sister, Ann Corona of Morrow, GA; 4 grandsons, Jason Beck and his wife, Deborah, Jeff Beck and his wife, Mary Lovett, Brian Beck and his wife, Melanie, and Corey Beck and his wife, Ali; two step grandchildren, Brad Kinney and his wife Cat, Lauren Roop and her husband Steven; 7 great grandchildren, Raina Beck, Drake Beck, Sally Beck, Wynne Beck, Lovett Beck, Parker Beck, and Jackson Beck, two step great grandchildren, Fisher and Nora Kinney. Other than her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Alan Beck, and a brother, Claude Eason, Jr. Mrs. Beck's grandson's will serve as pallbearers
