Louise F. Grantham, 94, of Cataula, Georgia, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday February 21, 2022. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 in the Mill Room of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary. A chapel service will be held on Thursday, February 24, 2022 in the Edgewood Hall Chapel of Striffler-Hamby and will be laid to rest at Parkhill Cemetery.
Louise was born on November 27, 1927, in Alabama to the late James Cochran and Mae Vinson. She met and married the love of her life, Bernard Eugene Grantham Sr., where they spent 50 years together before his passing. Louise worked at Bibb Mills as a Doffer. She enjoyed gardening, storytelling, and her family. Louise loved the Atlanta Braves especially Chipper Jones and Freddie Freeman. She also loved cooking, cornbread was her specialty. She is preceded in death by her parents James and Mae Cochran; her husband, Bernard Grantham Sr.; her son, Bernard Grantham Jr.
Those left to cherish her memories is her daughter, Martha Strickland; 7 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and 24 great great grandchildren.
