SFC (Ret) Lisi Setu Fatu, age 75, of Columbus, Georgia passed away on Saturday, October 5, 2024. A visitation for the family and friends of Lisi will be held Monday, October 14, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Rd, Columbus, Georgia. A funeral service will follow on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Northside Worship Center, 1901 Whittlesey Rd, Columbus, Georgia. Pastor Larry Biggers will officiate the service.
Lisi was born in Tula, American Samoa on February 8, 1949; the son of Setu and Faoa Fatu. Lisi was a member of the U.S. Army, he was stationed through the years in the United States, Germany, and Korea. He was a member of the All Army Racquetball Team and proud member of the U.S. Olympic Team with the Marksmanship Unit. Lisi enjoyed bowling, softball, and volleyball. He had a passion for music and enjoyed singing and playing his guitar. He was a diehard San Francisco 49ers fan and enjoyed watching and cheering them on. What Lisi truly loved was God, his family and his dogs (Puma and Frisco).
Survivors include: his wife, Faafetai Fatu; his son, Patrick S. Fatu of Columbus; and his daughters, Faoa (Jeff) Walker of Columbus; and Scout Sina (Jarred) Long of Alabama.
