Libby was born on November 9, 1958 to Irene and Lawrence Yarberry in Ft. Smith, AR. She grew up in White Hall, AR and was one of three siblings – a “MS” - middle sister - to Steve and a “BS” - big sister - to Peggy.
Libby met Johnny Herron in Pine Bluff, AR in 1986. They married in 1988 and raised their boys Westley and Caleb in Alabama and Georgia. She loved her boys with her whole heart and wanted nothing more than for them than to succeed in life. She was so very proud of both.
In addition to being a loving mother, sister and daughter, Libby loved the Lord with all her heart and held an unwavering faith in Him. She loved old gospel hymns and sharing scripture with those around her.
Libby is survived by her husband, Johnny; her sons, Westley and Caleb; brother, Steve (Cindy); sister, Peggy (Kenny); nieces, Janet (Josh), LaWanda, and Sarah; nephew, Bill; as well as great-nieces, Alyssa, Shellbie, Addison; and great-nephew, Aiden; as well as a host of family and friends who will all miss her dearly.
Preceding her in death is her mama, Irene, whom she missed more than anyone; father, Lawrence; best friend, Brenda; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Johnnie and Elizabeth Herron.
On behalf of Libby’s family, a special thank you to Piedmont Columbus Regional Midtown Hospital doctors, nurses, and staff for the genuine kindness, loving care, communication, and true compassion extended during this time.
Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die.” John 11:25-26
"Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his faithful servants." Psalm 116:15
