She was born on September 6, 1932 to George and Claude Eberhardt of Winterville, Georgia. Annabel grew up in Columbus graduating from Baker High School. She spent her married time in Manchester, Georgia where she worked at Camp Concrete, Bank of Manchester, International Playtex, and Goody Hair Products. She spent 28 years of her working career in Manchester. Annabel moved back to Columbus to be close to family and continued her career at Fort Benning in Administrative Personnel with Maintenance and then Food Service Division to retire in June 1995 after 23 years of service. Annabel was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, she loved to cook especially holiday meals for her family. She adored her grandchildren, loved to travel and she enjoyed relaxing with her cats.
She is survived by her son, Frank S. Bussey, Jr., daughter-in-law Connie and son, David G. Bussey, daughter-in-law Nicole; grandchildren: Aaron, Laura and Ryan Bussey and greatgrandchild, Hannah Bussey. Her siblings are Betty Gordy and Nancy Gunn of Columbus; George Eberhardt, Jr. of Oscela, MO and Susan Gillespie of Monument, CO. She is preceded in death by other than her parents, her former husband Frank S. Bussey.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at 3:00 PM in Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby with Dr. Don Wilhite officiating. Family will visit with friends and family in Edgewood Hall from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM. Burial will be in Parkhill Cemetery.
