He worked for and was general manager of Calhoun Products for 10 years prior to going into business with his longtime friend Bob Dickens. Together, they owned and operated Columbus Cycle and ATV for 32 years. Joe had a passion for motorcyles and racing and could often be found at various races and later, sharing his passion with his kids in the back yard and local trails.
Joe was known by several names in his life. He was a dearly loved husband, father, son, brother, Papo, cousin and friend. He wore his names the same way he wore his trusty old Titleist cap: with pride, love, and a smile. His family and friends knew him as soft spoken, but firm and hard working. He loved his family, classic rock, and a Sunday morning tee time at Bull Creek Golf Course. He was an excellent marksman and also loved fishing and spending time outdoors.
Per his request a private family viewing was held and a memorial will be planned at a later date.
