SFC (Ret) John Henry Trotman of Columbus, Georgia entered his eternal home on December 29, 2022 at the age of 74 years young. He was a hardworking family man that took great pride in supporting and caring for his family and anyone who was in need.
He was born in Columbus, Georgia to the Daisy Lee Trotman and late Robert Trotman on August 22, 1948. Mr. Trotman was married in December of 1969 to Bernice McCray. Shortly after marriage, he faithfully served his country in the United States Army. He was stationed in many countries and states and received varies rewards and recognitions throughout his military career. Mr. Trotman retired after over 21 years of service. He and his family returned home to Columbus to enjoy the retirement years. Mr. Trotman loved his family and enjoyed spending time at family gatherings. He will be forever and greatly missed by all.
Mr. Trotman leaves his loving memory to be cherished by his mother Daisy Trotman; wife, Bernice Trotman; his children: Bridget Tarver, Tiffany Trotman Lee and John Henry Trotman Jr.; his grandchildren: Reynard Alexander Trotman, Marquis Lee, Marcus Lee, Marco Lee Jr., and Jordyn Tarver; his great grandchild Reylen Trotman; and many other family members. He was preceded in death by his father and brother Robert Trotman Sr and Jr.
A service to honor Mr. Trotman will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at 12:00 noon in Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Columbus, Georgia with Pastor Sherryl King bringing the message and comfort for family and friends. A funeral procession will follow to Fort Mitchell National Cemetery with military honors for SFC (Ret) Trotman.
