Jerry Wayne Wright, age 69, of Columbus, Georgia passed away on Wednesday February 28, 2018. Jerry was born March 21, 1948 to Christene Ethridge Wright and James Warren Wright. He was a lifelong resident of Columbus, went to Jordan Vocational High School and attended Chattahoochee Valley Community College. Jerry served his country proudly in the Navy with three tours of duty in Vietnam. He was an excellent Bowler, Line Dancer, and an avid Georgia Dawgs and Country Music fan. Jerry was past owner of Nobody’s, Fantasies, and Managed Dallas Night Clubs. He took care of his family and was dearly loved by them.
Along with his parents, Jerry is preceded in death by; sister Brenda Martin, and niece Shayne Antley Harper. He is survived by; a son in Washington State; sister Weleeta Basiliere, brother-in-law Richard Basiliere, brother Jimmy Wright, sister-in-law Martina Wright and brother-in-law RV Martin, nieces, nephews, other family members, and many friends
Visitation for Jerry will be held Sunday, March 4, 2018 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM in the St. Elmo Room of Striffler-Hamby, 4071 Macon Rd, Columbus, GA 31907. A Graveside Celebration of Jerry's life will occur Monday, March 5, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Parkhill Cemetery, 4161 Macon Rd, Columbus, GA 31907. Burial will follow at 2:00 PM at Parkhill Cemetery.
