Cusseta, GA- Mr. James Weaver, 54, of Cusseta, GA, lost his battle with Cancer, October 13, 2013 at the Columbus Specialty Hospital in Columbus. James was born in Wuerzburg, Germany to William L. and Joanne E. Townsend Weaver.
An avid Rolling Stones fan, and a member of Narcotics Anonymous, Jimmy was known by his many friends for his compassion and giving to others as a Substance Abuse Counselor.
He is preceded in death by one brother, John Patrick Weaver. Along with his parents he is survived by five brothers; William L. Weaver, Jr., Woody L. (Susan) Weaver, Robert E. (Margaret) Weaver, John M. (Barbara) Weaver, Richard A. (Suzanne) Weaver, all of Cusseta, GA, and one sister, Patsy A (Randy) Elkins, of Columbus, GA, 11 nieces and nephews, and 12 great nieces and nephews.
The family will receive visitors at Striffler-Hamby, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus GA, Thursday, October 17, 2013 5:00-7:00 PM. A Memorial Service and Life Celebration will be Sunday, October20, 2013 2:00 PM at the Cusseta Community Center, Cusseta, GA.
