Garland Glenn Miller October 16, 1919 - October 14, 2010 COLUMBUS, GA— Garland Glenn Miller, age 90, passed away on Thursday, October 14, 2010. The family will greet friends at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Rd, Columbus on Sunday afternoon from 2:00-4:00 PM. Mr. Miller was born on October 16, 1919 and served in the U.S. Navy as a pilot during WWII. He retired from Delta Airlines. Mr. Miller was an avid outdoorsman and loved nature as well as his property in Auburn. He was a wonderful husband and a very patriotic and giving person. Survivors include his wife, Maria Miller; three step-children, David Beasley, Gary Beasley and Rebecca B. Bratcher; step-grandchildren, Blake Evans, Chris Beasley, Jason Beasley and Justin Beasley.
