Frank Huston Bowden, 94, passed away suddenly at his home Monday, December 14, 2015. He was born October 24, 1921 to his late parents Jesse and Zenobia Bowden in Pike County, AL. Mr. Bowden was a former Building Official for the City of Lagrange, GA. He served his country as a Marine during WWII, was an original Member of Edgewood Church of Christ, loved to fly, hike, and spend time with his family.
The family will receive guests for visitation Friday, December 18, 2015 at 2:00 pm , one hour prior to the 3:00pm Funeral Service in the Mill Room of Striffler-Hamby, 407 Macon Rd. Columbus, GA followed by entombment in Parkhill Cemetery, with Minister Carroll Collins officiating.
Along with his parents, Mr. Bowden is preceded in death by two brothers, Leroy and Jesse Bowden; and six sisters, Foy Adams, Frances McBride, Hannah Daws, Bonnie Mae Senn, Katherine Walker, and Loureen Volet. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Treva Bowden; one sister, Virginia Bryan; two sons, Michael (Carol) Bowden, and Mark (Michelle) Bowden; one daughter, Lisa (Wayne) Riles; three grandchildren, John Mark Bowden, Jayson Bowden, and Hannah Bowden; nieces, nephews, other family members, and a host of friends.
