Eva Lucille Roberts

Eva Lucille Roberts, age 98, resident of Columbus, died on Thursday, March 24, 2016 at Gentiva Hospice. Graveside services are scheduled at Riverdale Cemetery on Tuesday, March 29, 2016, 10 a.m. with Reverend (Dr.) George Haugen officiating, according to Striffler-Hamby, Columbus. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, March 28, 2016 from 5-7 p.m.

Mrs. Roberts, daughter of the late Jessie Dalton Safley and Angeline Cora Jaco Safley, was born July 8, 1917 in McMinnville, Tennessee. She was a homemaker and office manager for her husband’s business, Firm Roberts Cabinet Shop. Mrs. Roberts was a long time member of Edgewood Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Angie Shehane and her husband Ronnie of Fortson, Georgia; three grandchildren, Dana Shieh and her husband Chris of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, Jason Shehane and his wife Julie of Columbus, and Rebecca Shehane also of Columbus; four great-grandchildren, Ryan Shieh, David Shieh, Jase Shehane, and Stella Shehane; two nephews, Allen Thayer and his wife Sandra and John Thayer and his wife Pam; many other relatives and friends.
