Dot was born on September 29, 1930 in Phenix City, Alabama. Despite losing both her parents at a young age, she had a life full of love. Her older brother raised her and then later she met and married the love of her life and started a family. She was a very thoughtful and caring wife, mother, grandma, great grandma, and friend. A fantastic seamstress, her clothes and dolls are still treasured by her family and have been passed down through the generations. Her granddaughters will always remember taking road trips, playing UNO games, and using the travel camper as a fast food drive-through.
Mrs. Bishop is preceded in death by her husband, the late Battalion Chief Walter Lee Bishop, Father, Louie Broughton; Mother Florence Sims Broughton, and Brother Harry Broughton.
Survivors include daughters Linda Inlow of Avondale Estates, Georgia and Donna Ciccolella of Williamsburg, Virginia, son-in-laws George and Charles, granddaughters Emily of Burien, Washington and Connie of Virginia Beach, Virginia, grandsons Malcolm, Bryce, and Charles, cousin Patsy Martin, and many loving nieces and nephews.
