Doris Mary Evans

Doris Evans, 60, of Cusseta, GA passed away Saturday, January 16, 2016 in the care of Columbus Hospice. Doris was born October 9, 1955 in Waltham, MA to her late parents Kenneth and Kitty Booth. She was employed at Field Crest Cannon for 26 years, before being employed at Regional Rehabilitation Hospital in Phenix City, AL. Doris loved animals, especially her puppy “D”, and she adored her family. Her goal in life was to make everyone around her happy above all.

The family will receive guests Thursday, January 21, 2016 2:00 pm , in the Mill Room of Striffler-Hamby, 4071 Macon Rd. Columbus, GA, 1 hour prior to the 3:00 pm Celebration of Doris’ Life, followed by interment at Parkhill Cemetery and returning to a reception in The Mill Room.

Doris is survived by her loving husband, Danny Evans; one daughter, Genny Kruczek and her husband Jonathan Kruczek; grandchildren, Trevor McDaniel and Daniel Kruczek; her loving sister Nancy Alier; one niece, Tina Alier; nephew, Timothy Hurst; other family members, and many friends.

Remember her saying, “Two tears in a bucket, @#$%it”. Casual dress for service, Jeans and Tennis Shoes preferred.
