Charley Ronnie Moore

A celebration of Ronnie's life will be held Saturday, June 29, 2024 at 11:00 AM in the Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Columbus, GA with Reverend Cortez Frazier, and Reverend Mike McBride officiating. Interment to follow in Parkhill Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held Friday, June 28, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

Ronnie was born on January 11, 1943 in LaGrange, GA to the late John William Rudolph Moore and Nellie Ruth Ogles Moore. He was a longtime resident of Columbus and he retired from Fieldcrest Mill as a Supervisor. Ronnie was a Georgia Bulldog fan and avid fisherman. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and a faithful member of North Highland church where he served on several committees. Other than his parents, Ronnie was preceded in death by his siblings, Donnie Moore, Emily Holley, Claudia Stewart, and Johnnie Moore.

Survivors include his loving wife of 46 years, Ola Moore of Fortson, GA; his children, Alecia Maddox (Sean) of Fortson, GA and Michael Moore (Melissa) of Hamilton, GA; four grandchildren, Tyler Woodall (Michael), Megan Moore, Austin Maddox, and Matthew Moore; and a sister-in-law, Ann Moore.
