Columbus, GA- Charles William Wooldridge, III, 77, of Columbus died Friday, March 21, 2014 at St. Francis Hospital.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 25, 2014 in Linwood Cemetery with Dr. Jimmy Elder officiating according to Striffler-Hamby, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, GA. The family will receive friends Monday evening, March 24, 2014 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mr. Wooldridge was born December 28, 1936, son of the Charles William Wooldridge, Jr., and Elisabeth Fraser Wooldridge. He was a 1955 graduate of Columbus High School and retired from the City of Columbus after 32 years of service. Mr. Wooldridge was also a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Columbus and the Reflectors Sunday School Class.
Survivors include his brother, Fraser Wooldridge and his wife, Lillian, his sister, Elisa W. Pate and her husband, Ronald, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
