Bonnie Louise Jones, 78, of Madison, Georgia passed away on March 15, 2020 in her home. Graveside Services will be held Saturday, March 21, 2020 at 3:00pm. The family will receive friends from 2:30 to 3:00 pm at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary of Columbus, GA,
Bonnie was born in Troy, Alabama on April 23, 1941 to the late Edward Clinton Bond and Vera Bond. She graduated from Jordan High School in Columbus, Georgia. She lived primarily in Columbus and Madison. She had a successful career in the Finance Department of the US. Army in Civil Service. There she met her husband, Bobbie Jones, and they married on August 14, 1969. Bonnie loved traveling with her coworkers, and she loved shopping and giving gifts to others. She and her husband had several pet dogs through the years that she loved.
Mrs. Bonnie is preceded in death by her husband of fifty years who passed away February 5, 2020. She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Lynn Matthews; two stepdaughters, Julie Jones Knights and Carol Jones Davis; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; brother, Clinton Bond; nephew, Frankie Bond; and his wife, Jordyn Bond.
