She was born on December 2, 1940 ( D Day) to Paul Edward and Emily Aileen Ledford Waters in Spartanburg, SC.
She attended Okeefe High School in downtown Atlanta, GA. Barbara was a member of the Waverly Hall Baptist Church, Waverly Hall Georgia and was the Secretary for many years. Her final moments were spent peacefully in her home in Lyman, SC surrounded by family, her cats, dog and close friends.
Known for her love of God and Jesus Christ and as a Patriot, she will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Barbara’s family asks that she be remembered for the joy she brought to others in life not the sadness of her passing.
She is survived by cousins Bobby and Carol Segrest and Josie and Mindy Chester.
A graveside ceremony will be held in Parkhill Cemetery, Columbus, Georgia on Thursday November 21, 2024 at 2:00 pm.
