Arthur T. Taylor

A chapel service will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, March 31, 2012 at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, GA, 31907 with Dr. Bill Wininger, Sr., officiating. Interment will follow in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

Mr. Taylor was born January 1, 1930 in Columbus, GA, son of the late Joseph T. and Carrie B. Dudley Taylor. He was a member of The King’s Way Baptist Church and a member of the Mableton Lodge #1314 of the Loyal Order of the Moose for 40 years. Mr. Taylor also worked for many years as a diesel mechanic.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his loving wife, Betty J. Rackley Taylor; one daughter, Hazel Moon.

Survivors include his two grandsons, Will Arthur Moon and his wife, Jennifer, and Tony Daryl Moon and his wife, Magen; six great granddaughters, Kimberly Faith Moon, Desirae Brooke Moon, Sadie Alayne Moon; Lacie Nicole Moon, Halie René Moon, and Bella Grace Moon.
