Terry Layne Mitchell

A funeral service for Terry Layne Mitchell will be held at 2 o’clock, Monday, July 11, 2011, at St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church, 1729 Blythewood Rd., Blythewood, SC, 29016, with The Rev. David Ludwick officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 5 until 7 o’clock, at Shives Funeral Home, 5202 Colonial Dr., Columbia. The family requests that memorials be made to St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church, Blythewood.

Terry was born on January 6, 1953, in Columbia, SC, and was a daughter of the late Leon Fulmer and Avis Rawl Fulmer. She was a member of the St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church, Blythewood. Mrs. Mitchell was retired from the SC Department of Corrections, where she worked in administration.

Survivors include her husband, of 39 years, Jerry W. Mitchell; son, Jeff (Laura) Mitchell of Blythewood, SC; a granddaughter, MaKayla Mitchell, who loved Me-Me; brother, Randy (Kay) Fulmer of Blythewood, SC; as well as five nieces and four nephews.
