COLUMBIA - A funeral service for Marjorie P. Drawdy, 91, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Bethany Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery in Olanta, S.C.
Mrs. Drawdy died Sunday, August 27, 2017. Born in Florence County, she was a daughter of the late Eustace Pigate and Irene Floyd Pigate.
She was a member of Mt Elon Baptist Church and a member of Lower Richland Eastern Star #295.
Surviving are her sons, Ronald Hicks (Betty) and Terry Hicks (Dianne) both of Columbia; daughter, Catherine Pate (Lewis) of Coward; brother, James P. Pigate (Jan) of Timmonsville; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Eugene Hicks and second husband Curtiss Drawdy; brothers, Dallas Pigate and Norwood Pigate; and sisters, Emily Buddin and Mildred Morris.
