Marguerite Schumpert Campbell

COLUMBIA - A funeral service for Marguerite Schumpert Campbell, 96, will be held at 12:00 noon Thursday, March 3, 2022 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, with burial in Olympia Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

Mrs. Campbell died Saturday, February 26, 2022. Born in Columbia, she was a daughter of the late Reedy Thomas and Mary Louise Dickert Schumpert. She attended Olympia High School. She was a vibrant, feisty woman who enjoyed cooking, gardening flowers and making Halloween costumes for her great-grandchildren. She loved her family and raising her children.

Surviving are her daughters, Emily B. Walker (William Byars), Kaye C. Hilliard (James L.), all of Columbia; four grandchildren, Kevin Walker (Carolyn), Keith Walker (Christie), Jennifer Holbrook (Chad), Caroline Donaldson (Scott); nine great-grandchildren, Eric (Alysha), Kirsten (Austin), Aubrey, Emily, Isabella, Ansley, Bryce, Reece, Cooper; two great-great-grandchildren, Whaley and Sutton.

She was predeceased by her husband, Charles E. Campbell and a sister, Jeanette S. Shealy.
