Jane Swygert Wrigley passed away in Columbia, SC on June 9, 2024. She was born August 12, 1929, the fourth daughter of Thomas and Martha Swygert. She grew up on Senate and Enoree streets, and attended Columbia High School and the University of South Carolina. She left to pursue a career with Delta as a flight attendant. In the 1950’s Delta policy required flight attendants to be unmarried, so she left Delta to marry Everett Wrigley, a golf pro. She employed her energy and creativity at home when her children were small, but then opened her sample boutique on LaVista Road: the Clothes Rack, Atlanta, GA. Many were outfitted and accessorized by Jane in the years of the business. After Everett’s death and her retirement, she returned to Columbia to be close to her three sisters: Betty Coggins, Mary DesChamps and Sara Buck, all three predeceasing her. Her daughter Rebecca (Becky) Boswell also predeceased her. She is survived by her son Everett, and grandson Christian Boswell and several nieces and nephews.
