Glenn Watson Sheely

Born in Columbia, South Carolina on March 9, 1946, Glenn graduated from Elloree High School and Columbia College. She was a devoted homemaker and mother to her children, Scott and Kathy. In 1982 Glenn met Chip Sheely, the love of her life. They went on to marry in 1985. Glenn and Chip enjoyed working in their yard, attending church services together, spending time with family and friends, and traveling.

Anyone who met Glenn quickly recognized her kind, loving and giving nature. Her greatest treasure was her family. She loved attending ball games, watching movies and sports, playing board games or doing anything with her children or grandchildren. She was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend, and leaves a legacy of love for all who knew her.

Glenn is survived by her devoted husband of 38 years, Chip; her son, Scott Waters; daughter, Kathy Waters Saunders (Scott); grandchildren Hannah Saunders and Watson Saunders; sisters, Josie Millweard (Rick) and Susan Breeden; niece, Jennifer Naujokas and nephew, Kevin Crow. She was preceded in death by her father, Olin West Watson and her mother, Josephine Cox Watson.

In accordance with Glenn's wishes, a private service will be held to honor her memory. The family would like to express appreciation for the many acts of kindness shown during Glenn’s illness. In lieu of flowers, memorials or donations can be made to Pancan.org or Blythewood Presbyterian Church.
