Dewitt David Dean Jr.

COLUMBIA - A funeral service for Dewitt David Dean Jr., 67, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 18, 2023 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Northeast Chapel, with burial in Greenhaven Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 pm. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Dean passed away on Sunday, August 13, 2023. Born in Union City, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Charlotte Carol Comstock Dean and the late Dewitt David Dean, Sr. He was graduate of Union City High School in Pennsylvania. He loved music, playing bass guitar, watching movies, fishing, and working on cars. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his children. He was a member of Spring Valley Presbyterian Church .

Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Freida Allene Dean; sons, David Dean and Brandon Nettles; daughter, Angel Dean; mother, Charlotte Comstock Dean; aunts, Joyce Jones (Timothy) and Christine Comstock; and cousin, Stefanie Jones.

In addition to his his father, he was predeceased by his daughter, Carol Dean, and his uncle, Jack Comstock.
