Declan was born on December 29, 2008, in Columbia, SC, to parents Brian and Shannon Alexander.
Declan is survived by his parents, Shannon and Brian; his sister, Lily Berlin; his paternal grandfather Alan Alexander; his maternal grandparents, Richard and Linda Hewlette; and his uncle, Charles Jackson.
Going before Declan were his maternal Grandfather, Edward “Eddie” Jackson and his Great-Grandfather Colonel William J. Neville.
Declan was full of sunshine. He found the joy and wonder in every day. He changed our lives forever and we are truly blessed to have had him in our lives. We celebrate what we had and we mourn what we lost.
A memorial service will be held for Declan at Dunbar Funeral, Devine Street Chapel on Monday, December 10, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. A celebration of Declan’s life will follow at The War Mouth, 1209 Franklin Street, Columbia, SC 29201.
