David lived a variety of places but came to Columbia in his early teens and attended Dreher High School where he spent most of his time in the Drama department. David attended and graduated from the University of South Carolina with a BS in Psychology. He was an avid Gamecock supporter. Theatre and dance were lifelong passions and David taught at and later managed the Foster School of Dance in Columbia. He then became a programmer for local banks and ended his career as a programmer for the State of SC in Columbia retiring in 2015. In earlier years David performed at Town Theatre and Workshop Theatre.
David was predeceased by his mother, Dorothy Dreiman well known to the theatre community in Columbia. At his request, there will be no memorial or funeral service and his ashes will be interred with his Mother’s in Indiana, where Dorothy (Dottie) was raised.
David would ask friends and neighbors to support local theatre or dance in his memory.
