Charles Edward Holliday

Columbia- Charles E. Holliday, 75, passed away Thursday, August 23, 2018.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon Tuesday August 28, 2018 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel. Burial will follow in Ft. Jackson National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Monday, August 27, 2018, at the funeral home.

Mr. Holliday was born in Fayetteville, N.C. on October 12, 1942 to the late J.T. and Louise Price Holliday. He spent over 40 years in the hospitality industry, served his country proudly as an Air Traffic Controller in the U.S. Air Force, but most importantly was a loving, loyal and dependable husband, father, brother, grandfather and father-in-law.

Survivors include his wife, Judith Hoffman Holliday; a daughter, Danielle Holliday Boysen and husband, Robert; a son, Charles Edward Holliday, II, and wife, Amanda; six grandchildren, Anabelle Maie Boysen, Robert Henry Boysen, IV, Hailey Karlyn Holliday, Madison Faith Holliday, Cooper Gavin Holliday, Olliver Drake Holliday; great-grandson, Landon Griffin; a sister, Mary Helen Seal and husband, Kenn; a brother, George Donald Holliday and wife, Marsha; brother-in-law, Danny Hoffman and wife, Donna and sister-in-law, Suzanne Hoffman.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or to the American Cancer Society.
