Carol Marie Dean

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 7, 2022 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Northeast Chapel, 4219 Hard Scrabble Road, Columbia, SC with burial to follow in Greenhaven Memorial Park. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Carol was born July 12, 2000 in Camden, SC to DeWitt and Freida Dean. Sissy was an avid reader and enjoyed getting lost in books sometimes reading the same one multiple times. She had an eclectic taste in music, was a talented artist and enjoyed watching TV and movies. Sissy was fiercely protective of animals and babies possessing such a caring heart for them.

Her grandfather, DeWitt Dean, Sr., uncles, Otis, Mason and Arnold predeceased her. Those left to cherish her memory include her parents, DeWitt and Freida Dean; brothers, David Dean, and Brandon Nettles; a sister, Angel Dean; her grandmother, Charlotte Dean; aunts and uncles, Herman, David, Andrew, Marie, Maxine, Virgie, Mary and Linda.
