Surrounded by her loving daughters, Carmen “Carmita” Ramil Arredondo, 97, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, December 21, 2024. She was born on July 15, 1927, in La Coruña, Spain, to the late Emilio Ramil Medina and Maria Varela Ramil.
Carmen was a devoted mother and grandmother, affectionately known as “Tata” by many of her loved ones. She found joy in watching Hallmark movies, playing dominoes, and cheering on her grandchildren at their sporting events. A dedicated member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Carmen volunteered her time there for many years. She also served with Senior Resources, delivering meals through Meals on Wheels, and supported numerous charitable organizations, including the Humane Society and Paralyzed Veterans of America.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ricardo Rafael Arredondo, and her brother, Emilio Narciso Ramil II. Left to cherish her memory are her three daughters: Nanette Gonzalez Sequeira (Raul), Jackie Gonzalez Driggers (Chuck), and Maria Arredondo Lipsitz (Alan). Carmen is also survived by her four grandchildren: Zachary Richard Lipsitz, Joshua Max Lipsitz, Morgan Lindsey Boykin (Reed), and Haley Ryan Driggers.
