Ann Carlson Patterson

COLUMBIA - Ann Carlson Patterson, born May 30, 1935, passed away peacefully in her sleep at Wildewood Downs, Columbia, S.C. on Sunday, October 13, 2024. She is survived by her daughter, Kathy P. Hymson (Bubba); son, Chuck Patterson (Frances); six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren and one on the way. She loved her family with everything she had and was blessed to spend time with them over the past few years. She will be missed by many both in Greensboro and Columbia.

She grew up in Greensboro, N.C. and was an active lifelong member of First Presbyterian Church where she spent many hours volunteering. She was an Educator and somehow ended up being a Duke blue devil fan!! (Not sure how that happened.) She loved all sports and was an avid tennis player most of her life.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. The family would like to express their great appreciation for the loving care Ann received by the staff at Wildewood Downs.
