COLUMBIA – Agnes was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on March 31, 1952. After a twelve-year battle with breast cancer, she passed away on December 4, 2023, in Columbia, South Carolina, where she lived since June, 2021.
After graduating from Business School, Agnes began her career as an office worker spending 25 years in the Finance Department at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA. She enjoyed travel and loved the ocean where she spent many happy hours vacationing at the beach or cruising with her sisters and niece, Ann.
Agnes was one of five children, preceded in death by her parents Franklin W. and Mathilda Kuhs and her brothers, Franklin Kuhs and Walter Kuhs. She leaves two sisters, Edith Teyssier, Therese Kuhs, and beloved nieces and nephews, Ann Teyssier, Holly DiPetro, Nadine Lee, and Ernest, Mark, and Jamie Kuhs, as well as 10 members of the next generations of the Kuhs family tree.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St Joseph Catholic Church in Columbia SC at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 11, 2023, with a reception following in St. Joseph's Ministry and Administration Building. At a later date, a memorial Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Church, Regina Coeli Parish, in Emsworth, PA with burial at Christ Our Redeemer North Side Catholic Cemetery in Pittsburgh.
