Robert DaWayne Berry Jr.

Robert DaWayne Berry, Jr., of Kokomo, Mississippi, passed away on Monday, September 11, 2023 at the age of 36. He was born in Hattiesburg, Mississippi to Robert DaWayne Berry, Sr. and Jenny Lynn Carr Berry and has been a lifelong resident of Marion County. Robert was a graduate of West Marion High School. He enjoyed fishing, football, and being outdoors. He was known for being an excellent mechanic and an excellent storyteller. Robert could tell a story like no one else could and most of his stories seemed too far-fetched to be true. But, with Robert they all somehow turned out to be real.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Raymond and Latricia Morgan; his maternal grandfather, Shelton Carr; his maternal grandmother, Patsy Wells; his step-father, Bill Broom; an uncle, John Warner Berry; and a nephew, Kellvin Berry. Robert is survived by his father, Robert DaWayne Berry, Sr.; his mother, Jenny Lynn Edwards; a sister, Crystal Berry; two step-sisters, Kimberly Broom and Beverly Broom; a step-brother, Mark (Krysti) Broom; an uncle, Jerry (Monshea) Morgan; two nieces, Natalie Broom and Aubree Broom; and three nephews, Devin Ware, Farah Ware and Tre' Broom.

There will be a funeral service for Robert at the graveside in the Morgan Family Cemetery on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at 4:30pm.
