Minnie Lou Johnson, of Foxworth, Mississippi, passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at the age of 83. She was born in Columbia to Charlie and Nancy Bardwell and has remained a lifelong resident of Marion County. Minnie was of the Baptist faith and will be remembered for her love of animals.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Billy Met Holmes and Pearlie Terrell; her husband, James W. Johnson, Sr.; and four sons, L.B. “Beacham” Bardwell, Kenneth Ray Bardwell, Billy Joe Johnson, and James “Bull” Johnson, Jr.
Minnie Lou is survived by 13 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews, including her caretakers, Kay Broom, Randy Terrell, and Elizabeth King.
There will be a graveside service for Minnie Lou at 2:30pm on Sunday, May 1, 2022 in the Baxter-Pittman Cemetery where she will be laid to rest. Doctor Daniel Smith will officiate the service and Jeremy Lynn, Bradley Stringer, and Chase Stringer will assist as pallbearers.
