Captain Kenneth "Kenny" Holloway

Captain Kenneth “Kenny” Holloway, age 48 passed away Saturday, September 19, 2020 at Marion General Hospital in Columbia, MS. A lifelong resident of Columbia, Kenny was a graduate of Columbia High School, Class of 1990, and was a captain with the Columbia Fire Department where he served 24 years.

Mr. Holloway was preceded in death by his father, Charles Holloway; sister, Kathy Holloway; and brother, Greg Holloway. Survivors include his daughters, Cassy Sistrunk and husband, L.T. of Goss, MS, and Santana Holloway of Jackson, MS; his mother, Helen Martin of Columbia; a brother, Ricky Holloway and wife, Heather of Morgantown, MS; aunt, Dorothy Dot Drennan; two grandchildren, Kade Sistrunk, and Hadleigh Sistrunk; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

A funeral service for Kenny will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at Colonial Funeral Home where family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until service time. Reverend Brian Stewart will preside over services and interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Columbia assisted by Casey Odom, Scott Holloway, Reginald “Reggie” Crowther, Jeff McKenzie, Tyler Creel, and Nathan Guy as pallbearers, and Terry Hamilton, Larry Ratliff, David Delancey, and Shawn Delancey as honorary pallbearers.
