Jackie Spencer Roberts

Jackie Spencer Roberts, of Foxworth, Mississippi, passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2022 at the age of 67. He was born in Monroe, Louisiana to Dan and Flora Roberts and has been a resident of Marion County for the past 41 years. Jackie had a long career in construction and was known as a “Jack of all trades.” He enjoyed outdoor activities and loved the time spent with his family. He enjoyed maintaining his yard and delighted in his time on his lawn mower. Jackie will be remembered as a compassionate and loving husband, father, and grandpaw.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five sisters, Effie Delacerda, Mildred Kelley, Doris Tucker, Mary Varner, and Myrlene Duar; four brothers, Charles Roberts, Milton Roberts, Jimmy Roberts, and Dewitt Owens; a daughter, Brittany Roddy; and his mother-in-law, Geraldine Tippit. Jackie is survived by his wife, Rhonda Roberts; four daughters, Nancy Bass (Nicholas), Nina Bass (Shawn), Brandi Roddy, and Brook Roddy; a son Nicholas Roberts (Amy); a sister, Judia May; seventeen grandchildren, Nicholas Roberts, Jr., Greenleigh Roberts, Kalee Bradshaw, Braden Bass (Elle), Camden Elsea, Caiden Ledger, Alexander Roberts, Ian Bourn (Anna), Jackson Bourn, Brody Bourn, Alexis Roddy, Zachery Hibley, MiKayla Roddy, Laney Robison, Bella Louge, Kaydense Robison, and Brentley Louge; two great-grandchildren, Ryleigh Bourn and Maddox Bourn; and many nieces and nephews.

There will be a visitation for Jackie at Dexter Pentecostal Church on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 from 12:00pm until 2:00pm. The funeral service, officiated by Reverend Jerry Terrell, will follow at 2:00pm in the church. Jackie will be laid to rest in the Terrell-Tippit Cemetery in Foxworth assisted by Braden Bass, Camden Elsea, Alexander Roberts, Ian Bourn, Jackson Bourn, Brody Bourn, and Zachery Hibley serving as pallbearers.
